Hi, I’m Trista-founder of Birch + Dune Design Co. and a firm believer that home should be your family’s favorite place to be.
I’m a morning person, a cynophile, and a lover of all the beverages—whether it’s a hot flat white, wine, tequila, or a fountain Coke with lime that makes your nose tingle from the bubbles. I enjoy reading a paperback on the back porch in my sweats and spending time in the mountains.
My journey into design started a little differently than you might expect. Growing up in a rural area with limited opportunities in interior design, I initially pursued a practical path and became a nurse, a career I’ve found incredibly rewarding over the past 17 years. But my passion for creating beautiful spaces was always there. I was constantly rearranging my bedroom, upcycling furniture, and experimenting with new designs. In 2015, my husband and I designed and built our first home, and we’ve continued to create unique spaces through our renovation company, Misfit Industries, LLC.
Designing for others is where I truly find fulfillment. Through Birch + Dune Design Co., based in Southwest Wyoming, I work with clients locally, regionally, and across states to craft interiors that are thoughtful, livable, and uniquely theirs. We are happy to accommodate remote consultations and collaborations to bring your vision to life, no matter where you are.
